We were thrilled to welcome Lou Eddy, our first ever consultant franchisee, in May this year. It has now been three months so we’ve caught up with Lou to see how her first quarter at activ has been! To quote Lou herself:
“Transitioning from being a one-person marketing consultant to becoming part of a larger brand while owning my own business has transformed so many things both personally and for my business”
Lou highlighted the biggest positives so far:
- Increased Confidence and Support: Being supported by a larger team of specialists who share my values has provided a strong sense of security and encouragement. I’m no longer alone, and the collective expertise of the whole team ensures the best service for my customers.
- Structured Business Model: Adopting a structured and proven business model has been instrumental in being able to scale my business. In just two months, I’ve seen over a 300% increase in my pipeline of prospects, thanks to the tools and support from the wider team. This comes with its challenges….more prospects = more proposals, but I guess this is a good problem to have!
- Comprehensive Training: Access to comprehensive training & education has been a game-changer. Having this information available to me on an ongoing basis equips me with the latest industry knowledge and best practices, enabling me to improve the advice and service I give my clients.
- Expert Advice and Mentorship: Receiving expert advice and mentorship from Katie and the team has been invaluable. Their guidance has helped me navigate challenges, make informed decisions, and most importantly have people to share ideas and get feedback on different ways to approach things.
- Local Focus: Concentrating my business development on the local area and defining my audience to a smaller target group has allowed me to focus my efforts more effectively and has given me that sense of community which I have been missing in the global corporate roles that had previously. Helping local business thrive, and being a part of their journey is really important. It also makes my job much more fun!
- Personal Engagement with Clients: Being able to visit prospective clients in person has added a personal touch to my interactions. This face-to-face engagement builds stronger relationships and trust with my clients and prospects and I feel much more of a part of their business planning and future.
- Networking and Referrals: Spending time with local networking groups has been highly beneficial. Building connections with other local business owners has led to referrals, which drives business growth through trusted recommendations.
We are proud to see Lou’s business thriving under the activ brand. She really is a huge asset to the network and we can’t wait to see her business grow in the coming months.
